Maybe the scene with ame is a flashback? Us being showed a snapshot of past struggle? I'll admit in the heat of the moment I did think "What if ame and kangel are like separate entities in this and ame is just a fan going through the direst of straits the word dire implies", then I realized that was kinda big silly

Now, obligatory ENGLISH IS NOT MY FIRST LANGUAGE I MEAN NO ILL AND AM BEING NEEDLESSLY OBSERVANTLY NITSOMETHINGPICKY, I absolute mean no ill towards the translators and I don't want to imply they did a poor job, but the usage of the world bipolar made me doubtful a little because (AND THERE I UNDERSTAND I WAS JUST FISHING MISINFORMATION OUT MY ASS) I for some reason thought the word used was like, still category fitting but less specific than bipolar? Like I thought they had used it to bridge a gap from a term that is not a whole encompass. So I say, "Okay let me look up how to say bipolar disorder in japanese, maybe I'm wrong and the wording use is that clear and so I hence found out that yes it is that specific but she kinda used like the older "historical" wording of bipolar of manic depression (souutsu) (literally first character of mania second of depression)
