Today I walked down the streets of Paris on my way to the workshop when a thought popped into my mind. There’s a million different people walking past me and to them I’m nothing. Only a stranger, not even the monster I call myself. I’m simply a face they’ll never know even with each passing day.

However, that’s not the case with you. I know I’m not a stranger when I’m with you. I matter to you. We’re lovers… ________ is it okay for me to confess that calling ourselves lovers is still foreign to me. I don’t think it rolls off my tongue as wonderful as it does for you. I’m sure there will come a day when I can say I love you repeatedly, but for now I’m ashamed to say I can’t. Not yet.

Recently I’ve started feeling unusual as of late. I believe it’s what you call lovesick. Whenever I think of you my heartbeat grows faster and faster. Then before I know it, my eyes are searching for you. Even a single glance from you is enough to send me into a euphoric kind of state.

My symptoms get worse when I tell you I adore you. There’s a stinging sensation on my cheeks, sometimes my ears as well. With each passing day I wonder if I’ll ever get over this feeling. May I wish for such a day to arrive fast. I want to be able to tell you I love you without hearing a teasing chuckle.

I suppose the best way to get over these symptoms is to continue to push through until I get used to it. _________, here are my innermost thoughts about you, my love. I’ll continue onto part two of my love later tonight when I can hold you close.
