Some doodles to keep my drawing muscles in shape. I really like how Nedy turned out, nice 'n stylish. I know I said Libra wasn't really 'canon' to my NH stuff anymore, but it feels nice to include her still.

Sitting together on a bench, casually enjoying the day and each other's company, Nedy finds himself more invested with observing the company he kept and his mouth speaks his thoughts before he could think to not. But De'Verro is an obliging guy (but really, just for certain individuals, but he won't tell him that), so he lets him investigate more closely. Nedy's eyes are wide and he can't help but laugh, but certainly not to mock him, and despite his better judgement is compelled by curiosity to reach out and touch the one held out before him. De'Verro's hands are... big. So big the taller Neverhoodian notices how small Nedy's are by comparison. Small hands, perhaps, but greatly enjoyable to hold. Far more than expected. The moment lingered, warm and pleasant between their palms, and it was really no surprise that they found themselves smiling.

Some art I've had laying around for a while and wanted to color but I just wanna post it already so colors will have to wait for another day :p

Anyway, here's, uh, Nedy. Him's my boy for a story that preludes another I have a lot built up about entitled... Well I'll save that bit of information for later and update the tags here when I do. In the meantime, here's some fun info about Nedy himself under the cut.

Name: Nedy (ned-ee) Height: 5’ 2” Favorite things: His eyes, his bag, scavenging for things, building small helpful devices with said things Favorite color: Dusty orange Favorite food: Fruit Least favorite food: Fish Interests: Engineering, rocks, plants, animals, music, exploring, dancing, books, games (basically everything) Fears: Extremely small spaces; extremely wide spaces Ambition: Protect his family and do the right thing Factoids: Is the third in a generational line rather than being seed-grown; his great-grandfather was one of the original 20 Neverhoodians created by Hoborg (after the Good Ending); was the third one to join the friendgroup known as the Brotherhoodians; falls head-over-heels for De'Verro Headcanon voice: Either Michael J. Fox (Stuart Little) or Cody Fry (songwriter) In a Nutshell: Dorkish, talkative, easily fascinated and very curious, biggest hobbies are engineering, documenting his various discoveries and rockhounding, thoughtful, a bit of a packrat, forms emotional attachments to objects, tends to dominate conversations, often gets into arguments with Ephur because of conflicting methods for planning who does what and when.

Something I like about his design, personally, is that it helps De'Verro's eyes (not just that he's fun to look at, hehe), in that Nedy having multi-colored eyes encourages the subtextual idea that 'Hoodians can (but don't usually) grow/are born with multi-colored eyes. Though going by age Devvy-boy did it first.
