I never actually officially announced it here, did I?

Due to mommyclans implosion gaslight has been moved to play a part in @needleinafox and as such will appear in the comic!

This blog will be kept as side blog to niaf where you can ask him stuff though, maybe i'll have it also let y'all ask other characters something here!

I also want to show my hands with everything I was building up to for him, so if you're curious for what would've been and in some ways will be in NIAF, click read more

First and foremost, mommyclaws and me had planned something which is why I was so vague about their rank - we planned for borh cheetahchirp and Gaslight to be mediators! It was gonna be a comic announcement iirc but that never panned out lol.

He was also gonna have a buddy that was a higher power than starclan who actually lead them to mommyclan!

Backstory wise is where the entire starclan beef thing comes from! - he had a brother and their parents died when they were young and so they stuck close together, but in some way related to starclan (like telling his bro to do something) his brother died, this caused huge doubt in them.

Needle in a fox, NIAF for short, is a(n upcoming) xenomoggy webcomic set in an alternate Austria, we follow cats of the so called groups as they try and solve a string of murders and corruption that has grown in the high ranks.

Niaf takes inspiration from xenomoggy and rewrites such as @bonefall's better bones, @ailurocide, @cryptidclaw's rise of change and others, while being an original story instead of a rewrite.

It's really interesting to me how many warriors rewrites get rid of humans because NIAF actually takes pretty much the opposite direction with it, the main groups' cultures and growth etc. The development of their ranks and tools (also names, shard wormheart's name is very much from worm on a string and not actually worms). Like in the books, there's daylight warriors, but unlike the book they never got rid of the rank, they're just adjusted for with like never being able to join the frost journey (annual thing where in winter cats go on a journey to meet and stay with the two other groups). Humans also aren't really a threat, as a few of the people living near the communes are actually felinologists and general biologists who are really invested in these cats and their behaviors. Because of this cat catchers and humans destroying territory aren't really a thing because it would interfere with their studies, some cats just sometimes get taken, given vaxxines and if they need it cures for diseases and let them go on their way.

So yeah, when i finally make the comic in the huge dramatic scenes you can assume offscreen a bunch of dudes are like freaking out, pogging etc

Finally finished the loud redesign, making her look more albino. thinking about having the face markings be her leader markings

I wanna ask you guys, should i have the face markings as post lives ceremony only or having her be born with them?

Funfact: loud's story was actually mainly from an wcue rp i was in for a short while, it was one where after an event, all cats had a timer showing how many moons they had until death. So a poor zone, middle zone and rich zone depending on time which was btw also based on your parents (aka if your parents were poor zone you were). There were a group of cats called timekeepers. And the owner had a cat from the poor zone with a much higher lifespan which was apparently gonna kickstart a rebellion.

So to loud, when making my character i asked before what would happen if a rich zone and a poor zone cat had a baby and the owner said that it would probs be high zone. So after asking permission from the owner i made loud an apprentice who was born to a poor zone mother and rich zone dad who both were dead when she was birthed, mom dying right after childbirth. I'd like to note that i was very public with the entire thing and her having a rich zone life length but being a kit and app in poor zone. My plan was her being taken to the rich zone after the reveal and being resentful of them and helping the owners character with a rebellion, probably dying while storming where the timekeepers and leader were.

However during the reveal of both the owner and me's time, she wanted to after the session speak to me and i had to replace the absent leader for the scene with her being brought to the others to ask what to do. After we had an argument because she thought i made a character with the same role as hers which would only come later, I explained to her no and that she said okay multiple times but she excused it as me taking advantage of her while in the hospital (ironic because like a little while later i had the paraplegic accident) and said I couldn't and i stupidly left the server before she could kick me like she threatened without screenshotting my stuff like the channel i had of my character like everyone else which btw had all of that stuff! And later dmed them on roblox bc they blocked me on discord for the stuff but was also blocked.

But i'd grown attached to the idea and so with what remained of my memory started trying to integrate it into niaf without the time stuff but still with the taken to another commune and actually used the rebellion thing but with a way larger role.

I just started reading the new tnp novel (peak,even if I've gotten news of some — hopefully accidental — ableism) but it gave me a peak idea for Wormheart

A big thing abt 'em since they were first made was that they're way younger than other leaders (Same age group as needle, adder's a friend of their mom) and how they were really worried about lacking skill when first coming into power

So I decided that the prev leaders mental and parially physical health was degrading to the point of worry and due to this retired making em a leader as young adult instead of senior warrior equivalent
