The girl that wants to be deaf
A shout. She hears the fight from the kitchen. It's a small house so it doesn't matter where is she, she will hear them anyway. She knows why are they fighting. It's for the same reason as always.
A hit. The man is getting angrier. But so is the woman. She tries that the shouting that slowly is raising doesn't bother her. She is tired but continues cooking dinner.
Another shout. She starts setting the table avoiding them in the middle of the living room. She sighs. She dreams of leaving the house and never return. She calls them for dinner and they stop shouting. He tells her that he is not hungry. As does the woman.
She starts dining. The whole situation is awkward and suffocating. Her heart is hurting and her head is about to explode soon. She doesn’t want to be there.
When she is finally in his bedroom, alone, they start the fight again. She knows that would happen. Because of that, she turns off the lights and puts her headphones. She clicks START and the music flows in through her ears, hugging her, having her a false reality that this is going to be better, that is alright.
Another shout. She only wants to go to sleep and disappear far from them. She doesn't want to listen at all. She tries hard to focus only on the music. She listens carefully while little by little she doesn’t listen to anything.
She: "Bye-bye... see you tomorrow"

Ngl I sometimes wanna open up to someone abt my feelings but I don't want to be vulnerable or want ppl to think that I'm looking for attention, sometimes I find it useless to open up cuz then I end up forgetting abt it the next day and wasting someones time.
