The Lightbringer series needs more hype !
First and foremost I am appalled the Lightbringer series is not a cultural phenomenon yet!!!!
I mean taking into consideration the amazing cast of characters , awesome world building and easily relate “hooks” like Nine Kings card game , types of luxsin, gods etc… Well there is ton of merchandise ideas and marketable things in there that can and should be competing with Game of Thrones. Why promotion of this series isn’t approaching it as marvel comic book(sorry graphic novel) - is beyond me. It has so much untapped potential . People should be playing real Nine Kings card game : Buy “pyrejelly” candles , pens that write in “superviolet”, “brightwater” neckless, pot plants made from “green”. There should be iPhone cases , t-shirts etc with art depicting characters from the series like they did with Cassandra Clare’s books.
There should be playlists on Spotify for Lightbringer songs , or Guile’s playlist , or Blackguard playlist . Cool On-line tests on superchromacy and what drafter you are like they did for Harry Potter world . There should be a lot of things. And If Brent Weeks or his publisher are reading this (they probably are not) they should absolutely conceder exploring all of the above mentioned marketing suggestions. I said it in the beginning of my post and I sand by it . The Lightbringer series does deserves to be a cultural phenomenon
