Do All Lives Matter
Do All Lives Matter?
A small child falls into a gorilla enclosure at the Cincinnati Zoo. Immediately chaos comes into play. A thoughtful and concerned zoo keeper shoots the gorilla. Everything is okay: child lives, no danger, unhurt. So what’s the problem now? Well, everyone assumed that the child was white. Good call; kill the gorilla, he’s only an animal.
Not so fast here. The media found out that the child is of color, African heritage. Everything changes now. All of a sudden the child’s family is under scrutiny. Let’s get some background on these people is the theme now.
Well, the father has a criminal record and there is speculation that the mother is a bad mother. All of a sudden there’s talk of prosecuting the mother for neglect, all for a stinking animal. The mindset is that a white child wouldn’t have fallen into the enclosure in the first place. The gorilla shouldn’t have been shot. Why risk the life of a gorilla for a ghetto child. It’s amazing how this event took an about face.
Kill the gorilla? Okay if the child was white. The gorilla should live if the child is of color. Do all lives matter? You people sadden me.
