So, this isn't a question as it's more a shout out of sorts... I've seen lately a lot of people feeling as though unless they fight and make their voices clear that they're asexual, that only then they are valid. Truth is, me and my best friend are both asexual. We don't fight on a constant basis to prove our asexuality, we don't make huge rants constantly about it, the reason being we both know that we have nothing to prove to the rest of the world. We can just be us.
Truth be told, I've went through a hugely dark period of my life, being an Amab asexual person. I never fit into the normal hypserxualized straight world, I didn't fit anymore in the hypersexualized mlm world. It took me years to understand who I was, how I worked, the way I felt towards people. I spent nights crying myself to sleep, seeing all kind of professional help, but in the end; it boils down to you. How you feel about yourself...It's amazing and wonderful to see platforms like these making sure our voices are heard, fighting for our right to exist, to be represented, to not be persecuted... But it's not for everyone. And it's alright if it's not for you, you don't even have to fight an everyday battle if you don't want to. We're a community, we share the burden of oppression. All I'm saying is that, if a 17 year old teen can believe in their asexual identity and discover it constantly, so can you! Have a little faith <3

This is very true, and so important. This is the value of community. We all come together to create the best environment that we can for everyone, and that means sharing the burden and sharing the work. Some of us are fighters, some of us are activists, some of us are writers or artists or just make really good puns, some of us need a lot of support and can’t give very much, some of need very little support and can give a lot. The diversity of people, experiences, and skills is what makes our community great.-Dew
