Not being chosen

Episode 6 of Roller Coaster presents us with two sequences that can be compared. On one side, Loft leaves Pure's room because Air is coming; on the other, Air leaves Pure's apartment after realizing that she is no longer the source of her happiness.

Loft has left Pure's room, which can be seen on the right side of the frame in the doorway leading to her room. Meanwhile, Air is leaving Pure's apartment and closing the door on the right side of the frame.

Air breaks down for a moment, hitting the wall behind her. Meanwhile, Loft leans back on the wall and holds back her tears.

Loft turns her gaze toward the opening leading to Pure. On Air's side, the frame of the scene changes, making the place where Pure is disappear. She doesn't even take one last look back.

Air pulls herself together and leaves the stage with her head held high. Loft, meanwhile, escapes from the stage by going down the stairs.

By comparing these two scenes, we can see that there is still hope for Loft, whereas Air has definitively closed the door on her romance with Pure.
