If they have the same disease as I do, I can only give my deepest condolences. But, to answer your question, ways to ease the pain…

The larger the anxiety is, the more the power hurts your eyes since a lot of it is held there, I myself use these glasses to aid my sight so they’re not as strained. The sun is also something that agitates it as well, but that might be due to me beng a dream creature in the waking world. Having a washcloth on your eyes in the morning and night helps too, but that’s just me.

I can recommend also the wuqoahe flower to have as a tea. It will taste not so great and have strange side effects but it will dull the curse down quite a bit for a while. Technically you can have it in food too but it doesn’t work as well and makes things taste really salty. From my own experiences and others, the taste could be compared to “cheap expired chicken ramen flavor seasoning”.

To try to ease some of the uh, symptoms, is to let it out of your body. Do not bottle it up it will hurt and  it will get worse. Find outlets for it, something more than just drawing or knitting, but something active to get those feelings and emotions out.

There’s no shame in needing to excuse yourself in needing to take care of your own needs before needing to handle something important if it’s getting too much for you. Bad things will only come from ignoring your problems to the point that you won’t be able to control it any longer.

… If you can, having someone with you to calm you down is something I can’t recommend enough. While I wouldn’t admit it to his face, but I’m pretty sure he knows, I have gotten so much help from Vanya to calm down the curse in me. He brings me back from delusions, he helps figure out whats real or not, he quiets the inner noise, and there’s been a few times he’s brought me down with only his words and him holding me. If you have someone you trust, please consult them, don’t hold things back. Most likely, they want to help you just as much.
