Krem chuckled and switched his sword to his left hand. He was faster left-handed, something he never would have found out if they hadn’t left the Imperium, and he, in truth, had been taking it easy on Kaey. “If you insist, Amatus, though don’t complain to me about bruises later.”

A new year, a new beginning on life. It was more than Cremisius could have hoped for when he’d fled the Imperium with Kaey, but Maker was he glad to have it. He sat in a tavern, one of many they’d been in since The Iron Bull had picked them up and saved them, drink in one hand and an arm around Kaey as everyone celebrated the end of the year and prayed for luck in the next one. He laughed and drank, and in the warm light of the fireplace, he turned to kiss Kaey soundly. It was still new, to not have to hide their relationship, but the kiss was all the sweeter for it.

“I would rather you not put yourself at risk, Amatus.” Cremisius’ tone was, perhaps, a little sharper than he meant it to be. For all that he was worried about Kaey, he was walking away from that unfortunate incident relatively unharmed and his secret still undiscovered largely thanks to the elf’s inference. He was normally smart enough to keep himself out of the fights that sometimes sprung up between soldiers when tensions were high and Seheron had ruined another shipment of important supplies, but even his temper wore thin.

in Ad InfinitumSomething small,but personal, a protective charm perhaps, if they’re still in Seheron. If they’ve made their escape south, then probably a spiced chocolate pastry, or a simple piece of jewelry, he’s more likely to give luxuries.

   “O-- okay--” She pauses to laugh, breathlessly, uncomfortably, hands raising at the sight of a weapon. “Uh -- okay, for real, I don’t know what happened here. I’m not, like... I don’t have a weapon? It wasn’t me, okay! No, but like, for real, this time. Wait -- you don’t know me, you don’t know I normally do trouble. Uh. I mean. Uh...” Nice going, Will. “Okay, I did nothing, okay?”

HE TURNS away slightly, shoulders loosened as he hums under his breath. THE HORIZON over the sea looked especially lovely this morning so he could easily relate a grin before sitting back upright and SLAPPING the bottom of his clip back into his pistol before nodding in self affirmation.
