Commanders Report: Ending the Shal’dorei Looters

Report Summary:

The Shal’dorei group we have engaged with several times now was located. Their main camp hidden among the ruins and trees with increased security in the form of magical wards. A small team of Riders were dispatched to confirm its location and remove the Shal’dorei infection before they could make another attempt at stealing the knowledge from the Shen’dralar. Corporal Starfeather scouted ahead while in the form of a natural avian creature of the region. Staying there a short period to gather the information and camp layout. It was discovered the Nightborne had a small shipment of damaged Arcane Crystals and other power sources for their nearby constructs and spells. Fledgling Nightdance accompanied me into sneaking into their camp. Using both magic and old world potions to keep ourselves hidden. Our cover was almost blown but thanks to quick movements of the Corporal. The would be spotters face was torn into by an owls talons. The camp marking it up as a hostile wildlife attack from the “Savages elves savage forest.’ to put it into their words. Such a perfect opportunity was taken and the unstable crystals were obtained and scattered about the camp. Both Nightdance and I being well taught in the Arcane arts allowed us to leave them with a faint bit of magic that would make it easier to overload just incase they were needed.

Same crystals were used to replace the ones within their Guardian constructs, upon the second one being place we were discovered and quickly set upon. Not knowing of the change they activated their Guardians. Only for them to turn onto a majority of the Shal’dorei forces. Leaving only a small handful of guards and their commander left for the Riders to clean up. After a close skirmish the Nightborne were dead to the last. Each kill confirmed one way or another. One construct was left alive a bit too long. It had gone even more berserk and event detonated from the wild magic that was breaking free from its already unstable power source. Several riders, including myself were wounded from the blast. Two put on medical for the next three days.  In the end the camp was burnt to the ground and Shal’dorei slain. Darnassian Command will be happy to hear this. My Riders will be happy to ride to Ashenvale next in the coming days with this threat finally removed from Feralas. Officer Notes: 

Corporal Starfeather: Proved to keep her cool during a dire change of events during our task. Adapting easily to a new plan after the first had failed. Quick to move on her feet saving our cover twice. Fledgling Nightdance: Recently returned from leave, excellent skills in both Arcane offensive and defensive magics. Stealth needs a little work but is very promising.  Commander Moonblade and Fledgling Nightdance.
