Closed starter: Nelle Garnett and Devan McCahill (@insainted)
One of Nelle's most notable traits was her boundless curiosity; the world was a puzzle waiting to be solved. In Afterglow's laboratory, she could see microscopic worlds that were rarely even dreamed of outside. However, Nelle also had a fairly profound fear of insects and birds; admittedly, the birds and bugs outside of the cities ranged from ugly to terrifying. Thus, though Nelle loved to study the natural world, she very rarely liked being out in it, unless she could almost guarantee her safety. Unfortunately, Nelle was getting rather low on some of her samples and knew that soon, she would have to venture out. She was not going to do so without help.
She came down with a written request form, finding Devan McCahill first, someone who had escorted her on one of her requisition trips before. She stopped them and smiled what she hoped was a warm smile. "Private McCahill? I don't know if you remember me, but my name is Nelle Garnett and I'm a researcher. You helped me a couple months back when I had to collect some water samples. I was wondering if you had some time to help escort me now. I have heard things are kind of dicey in town and always outside of town and I needed someone who might be able to help me."
