Anne Lacheiner-Kuhn is a an African multidisciplinary artist from Otjiwarongo (Namibia) based in London. Anne graduated with a BFA in Fine Art from University of Stellenbosch in South Africa in 2006, and obtained her MA in Fine Art from Central Saint Martins in 2011. ➖ Her practice is focused on the notions of memory, sexuality and identity generating narratives through the utilization of appropriation, remixing, recycling and sampling. She has widely exhibited internationally most notably including ‘Journey to the Centre of my Mind’ at Historical Monument# 157 in Los Angeles (USA) and Bunkhouse in Madrid (Spain), @theotherartfair in London (UK) sponsored by @saatchiart or her recent solo show at the Omba Gallery in Windhoek (Namibia). Anne has also been shortlisted for the Clifford Chance Sculpture award as well as the SASOL New Signatures award. Her work is part of the collection at the Department of Science and Technology, Pretoria (South Africa) as well as various private international collectors across Europe, Africa and the Middle East. From 2011-2016 though predominantly based at Central Saint Martins, Lacheiner-Kuhn taught across the University of Art London both in digital media and 3D/Sculpture. ➖ Anne has also worked in film and television on both national and international projects amongst her clients are Universal Pictures Int., Sony Pictures Classics, 20th Century Fox, Working Title, BBC, History Channel, Sky1, ITV, Pulse Films and The British Museum amongst others. She is currently part of the special effects team of Game Thrones. ➖ @annelacheinerkuhn is represented by @nellyduff in London, her first solo exhibition as part of the gallery roster will open on September 6th 2018.
