embarrassing - his cheeks &&. ears flush with red , but how is he to deny an opportunity to ramble about his beloved ? izuku smiles wide ( it is the very same smile he gives every time he thinks about akira , though generally the cause isn’t so painfully obvious , ) &&. takes a deep breath , preparing to speak for what feels like hours to anyone but him ( to whom it seems but a fleeting moment , far too short to vocalize his overwhelming feelings about his fiance . )
❛ i mean of course he’s gonna act a little different with me , ‘cause we’re together &&. all , you know ? ❜ it is hardly new , they’ve been together a while , but the admission still makes the red on his face more prominent . he is just as lovestruck as he was on day one , always will be . if only he had even the slightest idea of just how different akira is for him , though - he is largely unaware , entirely oblivious to the fact that akira is a demon in human skin when it comes to anyone but him ( thinks his reputation as a delinquent is unearned , that he’s bullied without reason , like himself . no , he hasn’t a clue how it is only for him which akira essentially turns from BIG BAD WOLF to fluffy baby puppy . ) ❛ i don’t think you could really embarrass him , but he’s very sweet to me . i can’t even imagine a better fiance , not if i tried with all the effort i could give . ❜
izuku’s hands move to cup his own cheeks , to hide the ever - growing blush that adorns his face . so childish , he thinks , but even just thinking about akira is enough to send his heart racing . he gives himself a moment before continuing . ❛ one time he bought me a flamingo plush , said he spent every yen he had on it &&. had to ask izumi for more . ( not that that’s really surprising , he’s pretty bad with money , but … it’s the thought that counts . ) i don’t really ask him for stuff ‘cause i don’t want him to lose everything he has on me , but i think he’d give me anything if i did . he’s so nice to me , one time he tried to take me to the amusement park just ‘cause i wanted to go even though he was passing out just talking to me . we ended up napping together instead . but … we aren’t boyfriends anymore , we’re engaged , remember ? ❜ as if on cue , he flashes his ring at her , grin growing ever wider . ( he loves him / he loves him / he LOVES him / even the thought of their engagement , the sight of his ring upon his finger still makes him cry on occasion - tears of joy , tears of overwhelming positive emotion at the memory of akira’s smile , EMBODIMENT OF SUNSHINE . it is a smile he only wishes he could see more often , while simultaneously being touched that it is one shared with only him . )
