Could tell us about Nemesis Primal?

Dear Gone Ape,

The being of which you speak is the result of a tragic divergence in the timestream. You may recall the instance in which Optimus Primal was corrupted by a virus of Scorponok's design, driving him to fits of extreme rage, which he took out on Predacon and Maximal alike. Now, in the reality you likely know, Primal was saved before his spark could give out by the noble efforts of Cheetor. However, in another iteration of the Beast Wars, Primal was unable to stop himself, and ended up destroying both the Predacons and the Maximals before entering stasis lock, on the verge of spark collapse.

It was here that Primal's near-dead body was discovered by the Vok. Before his spark could completely fade, the Vok rejuvenated and restored him, transforming him into their weapon. Now "Nemesis Primal", he would be used to hunt down the Vok's enemies as well as any dangers to their so-called experiments in the timestream.

Tragically, very little of the Maximal Optimus Primal once was remains in Nemesis Primal. Instead, all that's left is a combination of Scorponok's virus and the Vok's new paradigm. I have not yet witnessed a universe where Nemesis Primal is freed from such a grim fate, but I hope I will... someday.

Profile:

After the destruction of the Planetbuster, Megatron sent his predacons out to scout for alien debris, and downed stasis pods.

Inferno returned with a badly damaged stasis pod, that contained something beyond Megatron's wildest dreams... The heavily damaged remains of Optimus Primal, originally thought disintegrated in the initial explosion!

Megatron carefully repaired the body, reprogrammed it, and restored it to life by infusing it with the spark stolen from another protoform, giving rise to Nemesis Primal!

Aggressive, and prone to violent outbursts, and unable to seperate the memories he possesses from reality, the highly unstable Nemesis Primal views himself as the true leader of the Maximals, and takes the existence of "that other Optimus Primal" personally.

Okay, so I don't particularly like the "black repaint=evil clone" trope, particularly for Optimus Prime. It's not a particularly creative idea, and after 20+ years, it's extremely played out. (Ignoring the fact that "cloning" robots is kind of a dumb concept in general)

All that said, it makes more logical sense in Beast Wars than any other era, as Megatron actually has done extensive cloning research, and has created multiple clones. However, I still find the idea of an evil black optimus clone being creatively bankrupt. So, here's an alternative origin.
