I was wondering, when agreeing to being considered a pinch hitter, is it in addition to being part of the initial line-up of contributors (like, being both I mean) ? Because that is how I viewed that question, but I believe it could be interpreted as being put in the "just in case" box ? I have no previous experience with zines so I really wanna make sure I understand things the right way. Thank you in advance, this is a lovely project :D
Hi! A pinch hitter is someone who we would contact if a contributor drops out of the project. They step in if a spot needs to be filled. Our pinch hitters will not be initially part of the contributor lineup but may be contacted throughout the project as necessary. This does mean that pinch hitters could be working under shorter deadlines.
However, if things are severely last minute, like a necessary merch item around the final deadline, we may ask if any of our current contributors have the time to pull something together, so we don't have to force that time crunch on someone new to the project.
Even if you agree on the application to be a pinch hitter, you can always reject the position when results are emailed out if you no longer want it!
