Honestly, even if the Taiyang-Branwen-Rose family does make mistakes that make them deserve the trouble that befalls them, they’re an extremely unlucky family.

Raven straight-up abandoned them and then tried to kill Qrow. Qrow nearly got killed by Tyrian and then lost Clover. Taiyang lost both his wives. Yang’s reputation got destroyed, then her arm was ripped off, and then she lost her sister. They lose their home in Vale since it’s destroyed. Summer is either dead or in a fate worse than death. Ruby pretty much has her home destroyed and temporarily dies.

Like, geez, the universe hates them.
