Dr. Rudd, despite being a talented surgeon and should know better, gets some controversial medical "news" from Facebook pages. The truth is that antibiotic gel, when used in pregnant patients (or even by pregnant surgeons), has been found by Caduceus R&D to (possibly) cause the baby to develop albinism or a condition (of my creation) called Rothstein's Iris (RI). RI gives Erhard's eyes their reddish hue. 70-80% of patients with RI are autistic (or, "have autism", depending on your preference).
This would take place 8 months-1 year post-game.
