The savior of Krystvalk, flung a thousand years into the future
I experimented with some new ways to do Lining and Shading and really like how it came out. Shadows are a lot more textured now and feel much more integrated into my style, plus the thicker lines makes it much faster to draw specific things and focus less on unnecessary details
My first piece for my mentorship class at CGSpectrum.
I had never really tried proper lineless rendering before this so I was pretty surprised to see that I could actually do it! I've also never been critiqued before on my art itself, and its super fascinating and informative.
Though some of you may be wondering "Hey isn't that Kei's dagger? Why is it on display?"
If you are then read below...
:)
Yes that is an older Kei! Squeehee!
This is a story idea that I've been toying around with... At the end of Astr (Kei's story I wanna make as a comic or game someday), Kei has to sacrifice himself to save the world he loves, and ultimately was supposed to die in the process, had the elemental crystals not saved him and given him a second chance at life. However he would have to sleep for a thousand years, and wake up in a far flung future where all his friends and loved ones are long gone...
I imagine him finding this out would not be fun...
