Summary: So he was back at the cafe again, actually kind of sober for once and lost in his thoughts. He was still ignoring the calls he kept getting, most likely from Liam this time since Harry was back home for a family thing. Sometimes wanted to just smash his phone and then drop off the face of the earth. He knew that wasn’t a possibility though, his mom and sisters would be extremely worried about him and also he can’t afford to smash his phone. Sighing loudly, Louis pulled his phone out and read over the notifications.

Summary: The nights where they got to walk around were some of Louis’ favorite. The two of them would just walk in companionable silence for the most of it, Louis doling bits of his life back home before he moved out for university. Some of his favorite times to walk around the city were the hot and humid nights after a rainstorm when everything was soupy and kind of hazy around the edges. Those nights were soaked in the weird orange color of the streetlamps and tasted like milkshakes and salty fries Louis was fond of getting at the diner near his apartment building.

Louis felt as if Niall was a gift from the universe sometimes.

"No I did not. But good, I am glad you have been able to find someone else. Perhaps this other will be able to return your affections."

"Yes" She looks down at her tea. "I could tell you two apart" She then looks at him. "I'm hungry, may I have something to eat?"

"If you wish." he muttered, inclining his head towards the kitchen. "What do you want?"

"No" She shook her head. "I kept my distance from him, he did say he was going to kill someone so that was one of the reasons why" She sips a bit of her tea.

He bristled a little at that but stayed silent for a moment, only nodding his head. When he did speak it was rather distant as he thought. "Good, that is understandable. He isn't always pleasant."

"Hopefully" She sits down with a cup of tea.

He watched her for a moment before giving a short nod. "You did not come to visit during the event, correct? I want to ensure he did nothing to you."
