Since we’ve covered the fancy Avengers apartment, and started a little discussion about it, maybe we should add this one to the list too.
This Super Mario apartment on Nerd Approved is actually something so cool, it’s going to make the haters think twice. Maybe. This is something that even if you wouldn’t live here, it’s just…it’s still fun to at least look at. Right? Amirite?
Every single part of this apartment is Mario themed, from the block lights, to the mushroom tables and bed. The plant in the living room has become Super Mario friendly too, even the tissue box sleeve.
Parker, the owner of the apartment, must have really put in the time and money, because he clearly went all out on the theme, and stayed true to it. He must have really wanted it to be right out of Mario, there’s no room for wavering here. Here’s a quote directly from Parker himself:
“This apartment embodies the spirit of an iconic Japanese video-game character with geek chic without falling into a “kids bedroom” cliché. This is not a cheap, second-hand apartment made for cynical reasons, it’s a piece of art from the heart. I made a lot of the items you see by hand, and painted quite a few too.”
The catch here? Something different? He lets people stay here, in downtown Meguro, in Tokyo, for $77 a night. Ha! Guests get to explore the two bedrooms and the pull-out couch, kitchen, bathroom, and laundry.
Oh, but the best part? You know, the one guys will enjoy? The “about to hatch” sign in the bathroom with a Yoshi egg on it.
Let us know what you think, whether you’d live here or at least stay here a night or two, or whether it’s a “forever alone” situation again.
