I see a smug, handsome priest begging for forgiveness and I’m gonna make him work at least a little for it. Watching someone with systematic power cede some of that power is a spicy fun read (and was fun to write!). Besides, he’s going to have to make himself vulnerable in order to truly grow. Ultimately it’s gonna do him some good and he’ll have a fun time.

It’s also gonna happen at the hands of an older woman built like an olympic shotputter because I want to see that older women exist and can hold power, if just for my own happiness.

My sincere recommendation if you want to start S1 is to skip to the Whitestone arc. That's when the narrative really picks up and a real troublesome person leaves the table permanently.

Oooo would you happen to know which episode that arc starts on, offhand? If not I can Google it. Is this troublesome person like... just a boring/mean player or did they do something nasty? I’m not up on any CR drama.

I feel this and I got you, this shit is hard. There's no amount of self care quite like the grit needed to do basic things when every part of you really, really doesn't want to.

And I don’t always succeed! There have deffo been days where I slip back into my old habits and sleep the day away, when my mood gets super low and I start avoiding everything and everyone

but with the therapy I’m doing, some CBT, and my meds, it’s easier for me to have that patience with myself, to take a deep breath and a step back and look at a situation, and to get that little bit of inertia to get back at recovery the next day

It’s all a process, a million chances to get back up on the horse when, like you said, you get that grit and start back at it again despite not wanting to soooo badly

I’m not even joking when I say flip-flops are integral to my recovery because being able to leave the house quickly and easily is like 90% of my daily personal battle. I know we like to laugh at crocs but holy hell that could be the easiest way for that person to get moving

I am the same way, and for me personally it is an audio issue. I just don't care for recordings of spoken word in theaters. However, do yourself a favor and go to one some day if funds and time permit. I went to one last September and it was a blast despite my similar hangups :)

I think you’re onto something about it being an audio issue, the live shows also seem more frantic, in a way? I deffo do want to see them live - for sure. I love going to live music shows, I bet it’s a blast being in the audience with so many other folks excited to see those Good Good Boys.

We tried to watch season 1, but the sound/video quality is just so bad. �� Season 2 is amaaaaaazing. So many feels.

Yeah, I figured Season 1 would be working through the growing pains. Plus I thought I could catch up enough in Season 2 to enjoy the live episodes with everyone else. I’m on episode 5 and I’m enjoying all the characters so far! I’m ready to be hit by the feels train.
