my finals are coming up next week so I'm spending a lot of time scheduling my study sessions
I have an specific routine for, so here's my tips hoping that you can get better results at time management for homework/finals/essays /study for an exam/etcetera:
1. Get a visual (physical) reference:
What helps me the most is having a big AF planner in the wall, is a good idea for the ones that snooze task alarms [I've been there]
you can search for a free printable month planner or diy on a sheet of paper :)
2. Set realistic to-do lists
by realistic I mean daily small tasks to do, that includes basics as setting alarms to eat well, rest, take your meds, breaks and free time where you can enjoy a good book/series/guitar lessons and more
I truly love managing an agenda, monthly planner and bullet journal (more like a little notebook for different topics)
that helps me keep a daily, weekly and monthly view of my tasks/deliveries/appointments/reviews
you can also use a digital version of this, feel free to adapt this tips to your own personal taste ;)
as a visual person I like to be creative with colors and code every class and the importance of the task (urgent, important), as well as the type of task (examination, essay, reading, revision, writing)
5. Set times and spaces for your study sessions
Having GAD (Generalized Anxiety Disorder) makes me need to change my sets so I don't get bored or frustrated in a same place or same time
so, feel free to set your own goals and routines. Listen to your mind and do best to stay constant at work
the only way to do it is to be disciplined and honest with yourself; don't be so hard to yourself and let things flow when you get overwhelmed ♥️
I hope this may help you to get a better idea of what you need to set your own study schedule
you can do it, believe in yourself
