nerd³ has a gay kiss in a playthough of bully (here at 1:51) and then refused to remove it after complaints and even used it as part of the end card of the episode (x). this was in 2012 aka prior to the legalisation of gay marriage and is legit the oldest example of queer support that i'd come across in my own life as a kid :) and also it's just really funny :)

I don't know if any of you have seen things about the Unbound/Boundless terribleness--

(tl;dr of the big bit: after the crowdfunding publisher Unbound collapsed and became Boundless, authors are not being paid. which feels like an understatement.)

--but this video by a YouTuber I've watched for a long time has a good summary of the issues he's faced, including not being paid £40k he's owed. he's also been reposting other affected authors' threads about it on Bluesky

People who think that noone would work without a profit incentive have clearly never been introduced to Nerdcubed and Ashens' advent calendar series on YouTube

For the past 11 years, they have got together on Ashens' second chanel to make a video for each day of advent, pitting between 2 and maybe 6 shitty calenders against eachother for no reason at all besides cheap comic relief.

In past years they have spent HUNDREDS of pounds on these calendars, and i refuse to believe they make any significant amount of money from these videos at all, and yet they di it every year like clockwork and I love it.

Ashens got a fucking shank in his calendar this year. Comedic gold!
