Interesting blog! Quick question because you seem pretty thoughtful. Offensive words! Used without malicious intent, in a joke setting, no target, can they still be said? Example: retarded, shemale etc. Nice to hear your opinion! X

I’m always going to side with freedom of speech. In the sense that even if something offensive is said with intention to be offensive, it should be said but then challenged.

When it comes to non intentional offence, I think that for the most part is ok. Yes it can be hurtful. But if we take the time to explain why it’s offensive I think that is far more productive that censoring people. Open dialogue of discussion is key in my opinion.
