Hi! Firstly, I wanted to say that I love your studyblr! Secondly, I'm currently studying in animal biology, but I'm considering switching into philosophy; what would be the most important thing anyone should know before going into a philosophy degree? Also, how do you feel about career opportunities for those with a philosophy degree (like do you feel that there are a lot of careers that you could get with the degree)? Thanks!! :-)
Hi! Thank you so much! 🌸
I don’t know if you’re already familiar with studying philosophy, anyway just be prepared to read a lot and study theoretical subjects. Personally, I didn’t choose to study philosophy because I thought it would prepare me for any given job, it’s not what it’s about. You’ll learn a lot and you’ll develop some great abilities, but I feel like everyone can take their own path and decide how to take advantage of what they learnt. Sure, it’s very common to think about an academic career, but as I said there’s no specific pattern and you’ll see all the different opportunities while you go on :)
