Despite all the other projects I could be working on I decided to learn a new skill today. Book binding. As usual I forgot to take pictures along the way. I had some fun with making the signatures and figuring out how to bind it all. I watched a lot of videos by #sealemon and #nerforge to get an idea on how to do things. Since I made this on a whim I used stuff I had laying around. It all started off with an old a4 visual art diary from school which was mostly used. Ended up with 24 sheets in total from it. Cut off the binding strip and folded it all in half. Made a total of 4 signatures of 6 pages giving a total of 48. Stitching was tricky as I made the holes a little larger than my needle which meant I kept pulling the knotted thread through the hole instead of it stopping. Doing the spine was surprisingly quick as I used gorilla wood glue which dried way faster than I figured. The cover was annoying as the fabric off cuts were all crumpled and need to be ironed but we don't have one. Over all it turned out nice and I learned a lot of things along the way. A big thank you to #sealemon and #nerdforge for their videos on how to bind and make books. https://www.instagram.com/p/B_hpJ-rJgw_/?igshid=14gv6s8pj2avz
