Nerissa Lance 27 y/o - Faceclaim: Emily Rudd
Born on the feudal world of Bryssanti, Nerissa Lance was a former member of the Imperial Guard and an excellent sniper.
She's the daughter of an Elite military family with 800 years of service. (The Elites are ranked somewhere between knights and lower nobility). She joined the PDF at 15, then joined the Imperial Guard at 18 because of her renowned sharpshooting skills.
Before being selected by the Inquisition, she worked as an assassin within the military, being hired to take out corrupt officials. Her notable kills include 10 commissars and various officers.
She later discovered that her "assignments" weren't corrupt (with the exception of the first Commissar). Colonel Marshall was planning a military coup and wanted to have his supporters fill those positions.
If that wasn't enough, Colonel Marshall was colluding with the "Spark" who she discovered to her horror, was her aunt Laura. Laura knew Marshall hired an assassin but didn't know it was Nerissa. Laura never wanted her involved.
Despite Laura trying to get Nerissa to join her rebellion, Nerissa stayed resolute. She had to kill her aunt, the woman who helped raise her. After a long fight that destroyed a portion of the house, Laura died in brutal fashion under the effects of a hallucinogen grenade that had her shooting herself in the leg.
It was the easiest shot Nerissa's ever had to make.
It was the hardest shot she'd ever made, and it will haunt her forever.
