♒ Thoughts on the fandom you're currently rping in?
Ooc: It’s pretty friendly and open, which I really appreciate. There are countless fandoms out there that are quick to write someone off because they don’t play a main character. It’s been wonderful meeting people in this fandom and making great friendships and stories with them.
Having said that...
It’s far from perfect. People are quick to reblog things about being open with roleplaying with everyone and such, but of course no one is going to admit there are cliques in this fandom. I talked quite a bit about these cliques and there being a hierarchy of sorts in this fandom, and how it’s very easy to feel pushed aside here. I’m going to bite the bullet here and say I feel like I lost contact with some of my oldest friends here partially because those who are on the lower ranks here (like myself) are left in the dust. It’s sad, but I’m not sure what anyone can do about it.
I understand why some groups of roleplayers (like all the turks, or all the SOLDIERs) are more favored than say, OCs, but that doesn’t stop me from getting irritated.
Also just...the hypocrisy that seems to run wild here. I’ll see posts like “Reblog if you’ll never send anon hate!!!!!” and yet I see cowards screech the same, hate-filled trite behind the mask. I know anon hate is something all fandoms deal with, hell it’s probably a bigger problem in other fandoms. Still, for a fandom to proclaim itself as welcoming and tolarant, it sure does have plenty of liars sending anon hate.
