Josh Taerk | Bastille with a Canadian twist

Are you a Bastille fan? They have a unique British sound that Josh Taerk has given a taste of Canada. Josh slows the tempo down for a chilled out cover of this massively popular song.

This man with big hair has a big voice to match and he'll be bringing it to Bournemouth next monday at 2:30pm in Dylan's Bar!

Josh says that "Life is not a destination, it's the journey that makes us who we are." So make sure that you journey up to Dylan's Bar on Monday to check out his set!

Ellie Rose | "Naive" (The Kooks Cover)

Here is a video of Ellie Rose performing a brilliant cover of The Kooks' "Naive" live from Dylan's Bar at Bournemouth University on Monday 11th November.

This is just a glimpse of the talent of this young singer-songwriter, she graced Bournemouth with a host of cover songs and original tracks with this one and her original track 'Speed Bump' the highlights of the performance.

She was also kind enough to do an interview with Sean and Emily from Nerve Radio as well as an interview with Nerve Magazine, which should be featured in the next issue, so check it out!

Ellie Rose - Speed Bump (Official Video)

If this video seems a little bit random then we have the influence of Ellie's idol to thank for that!

The randomness of this video doesn't overshadow the obvious musical talent that this young artist demonstrates, with ability beyond her years and a voice that wouldn't sound at all out of place in the charts.

On Monday 11th November we'll be welcoming Ellie Rose, an amazing up and coming singer-songwriter from London, to Dylan's Bar at 2:30pm. This will be a Coffee House Session not to be missed!

Al Lewis: Reviewed

Al Lewis opened this year's Coffee House Sessions at Bournemouth University with a great mixture of original tracks and cover songs! The surrounding crowd saw a significant increase throughout the performance with Al's performance drawing them in and holding their attention too!

His vocals had people swaying in their seats, tapping their feet and had some of the girls swooning too! He gave a bit of insight into some of his inspirations as well, from people he's met to the places he's been. He's recorded in a studio that was a chapel and travelled around America and all of his experiences have contributed to a well-rounded, accomplished album.

Al varied his playlist with a couple of unlikely covers that are away from his usual style. He slowed down Avviici and Cheryl Cole to turn them into chilled out acoustic tracks with a totally different vibe to their originals.
