I would not consider “older teens” to be “littlies”. you’re talking like they’re little children. they’re not. they are teenagers, 16 and 17, very nearly adults, oftentimes sexual themselves. some of them may draw naked characters their age for sexual gratification! are they also pieces of shit? real curious about this one.

also, not everyone drawing underage characters in sexual situations is drawing it for ‘sexual gratification’....some are drawing it to cope. some are drawing it to practice to poses and use those characters because they happen to be more familiar with drawing those characters in general. there are lots of reasons besides ‘sexual gratification’.

on top of that, I still don’t follow how drawing a fictional character in a sexual situation is bad. like, really, y’all gotta explain this. the person doesn’t exist. no one is being hurt or preyed on by a person drawing a fictional character in a sexual position (assuming that drawing isn’t then posted somewhere that people who don’t want to or shouldn’t see it can see it).

and most people I know, AGAIN, recognize there is a difference between fictional 16 year olds and actual living 16 year olds. it’s one thing to get off on a porn drawing of a 16 year old character. it’s another entirely to prey on an actual 16 year old. pretty much every single person I know realizes this, and would never prey on actual 16 or 17 year olds. consuming media doesn’t somehow push your brain slowly into “this is okay IRL” as long as you start out already knowing that the thing isn’t okay.

like....you guys seem to really believe fictional characters are people, or something. they’re not. and most people I know recognize that divide between people who do not and never will exist and actual living breathing human beings.

yeah, that’s your prerogative. and that’s fair.

the reason I have a big issue with this whole debate is because lots of people seem to think it’s totes okay to attack people who draw porn of 16 and 17 year olds. and send them death threats. and rape threats. and demand they stop forever, and say these things should be illegal.

I got a big problem with that. I don’t really care if you think it’s gross. that’s fine! I don’t really like porn in general, and I’m especially not really interested in porn of characters I like, and I don’t like to read about these things or see them on my dash.

but I just avoid those things. I don’t call people subhuman or tell them they should choke for drawing things. the reason I get into this debate is because there are people who DO tell people to choke and call them subhuman for drawing things, for what is literally a disagreement of opinion. and that’s a problem. if you don’t like to see something, then avoid it. don’t tell people to die. maybe don’t even involve yourself in talking about whether or not it should be allowed to exist.

like, if you think it’s gross, okay, fair. that’s your feeling on the matter. but your feelings don’t determine if the thing should exist and they don’t give you leave to run around calling people gross and demanding this thing not exist because you don’t like it.

admittedly, this post is far more general than I intended to make it at first--you don’t really seem like the type to send people death threats. that said, if you think the thing’s gross, okay, that’s fine. but that doesn’t give you the right to tell people the thing shouldn’t exist, and you are probably best off just....not involving yourself in the debate at all.
