Peter Cushing in a Nescafe instant coffee advertisement (1957)
Nescafe, 1952
An eulogy - of all places! - for the recently deceased Anthony Head informed me that way before his marvellous work as Rupert Giles in Buffy the Vampire Slayer (where he first caught my eye) or his gorgeous act as The Repo Man in Repo! The Genetic Opera (where he snuck into my heart), he was one half of the Nescafe Gold Blend Couple:
And my gosh was he y o u n g.
Nescafe
I like coffee, yeah
First frappé of the year.
I'm getting sick again, unfortunately, most likely caught from my son. I hope it gets better soon with more vitamin D.
Btw: original recipe if anyone wants it:
High glass or shaker mug (but high). One and half teaspoon Nescafé original (with the frappe glas on the cover), three finger-widths water. Either shake in a mixer or with a hand blender (don't buy those weak powered ones).
One finger-width or more of milk on top (oat or cow's or else). Ice cubes. Then soft stirring with your straw to not dissolve the foam.
The foam should be unwavering, then you know it's stirred well.
Aaaaand now go search for some sun.
Stay healthy, y'all..
Even I find the image really bad quality, plus some passages are in Danish / drunken English, but it's still pretty gemmy on a number of aspects.
