Maybe a Nessian Family prompt?!

I imagine Nessian’s daughter as stubborn as her parents. Like one time during a heated battle, their eldest daughter literally flew in front of Nesta ,in which she has gotten a cut and a scar, to protect her Mom from the creature which was about to attack her.

Nesta was livid. after they have won the battle, she went straight to her daughter, and scolded her infront of eveyone like “You will not do that again. You, or any of our children, will NOT die from saving us, (your parents)! You hear me?!” Their daughter can’t understand why Nesta was angry, like she saved her right?! 😂 And much to everyone’s shock, Nessian daughter had the guts to say “No. I won’t just stand,look and do nothing and let you get hurt when I know I can do something about it!” Like they were literally nose to nose. And Cassian don’t know if he should be proud or mad at his daughter 😅 Eventually Cassian pulled her mate away, while Nessian daughter was pulled by her younger siblings (all girls of course) 😎

When they got home though, there’s a sweet moment when the eldest approached her Mom, give her a hug and apologize. And Nesta making her understand that she can’t lose any of them. She’s not angry, she was scared, so scared. 🥺 And yeah, they just cuddled until morning, with the other daughters. Cass taking the sofa by the living room 😳

in modern sense, give me jaded Nesta who is trying to pull way her dysfunctional family mess. Dead mom is better off dead. Deadbeat dad left them a pile of bills. Feyre ran off with a man, ditched him at the alter for another; Elain’s high school romance foiled and she decided to live with Feyre after she saw how Nesta coped with alcohol and hook-ups. 

At some point, Nesta needed to get it together, and so she did. She made good friends Emerie, a boutique owner who likes leather and - well - women, because she’s peak lesbian and gives no fucks; and there’s Balthazar, the mail carrier to stays a little longer because conversation is nice. 

It’s nice to have a routine - and then Tomas hit hers. Literally. Cycle, rinse, and repeat. She breaks off a bad relationship but finds out she’s pregnant, only for Tomas to deny his role (a blessing in disguise) and saddle her with hefty bills, a job that pays just above minimum wage, nine months of brutal neck pain - ankle pain - back pain, but she has reliable friends who stick it out with her. Now with a promising career promotion, Nesta Archeron is determined to be a better parent than the ones she had (especially since she has to make up for Tomas). 

Fast Forward beyond the terrible threes, and into first grade. Nesta is raising a daughter with quite the vivacious personality - just like her mother - and she can’t stop talking. Nesta made sure to treat her like a person, talking in full sentences even when she could only babble, and now, she’s a terror in the classroom with opinions and Nesta would have it no other way. 

Doesn’t help Auntie Emerie is very important in her life, always happy to help when Nesta runs late to pick her up: 

Her daughter Bri LOVES her music teacher Gwyn - and gossips all the time about how she’s certain the geography teacher (who’s an absolute sadistl when he subs for gym) has a major crush on Gwyn, and well, mommy and auntie LOVE good gossip - and the redhead seems like a pretty good addition to their misfit group.

 Well, Gwyn is now Emerie and Nesta’s latest project to get some (word not to be repeated around Bri), circles run small, and Cassian is asked by Az to meet a few ‘new friends’ - only Nesta can’t find a babysitter, and Bri INSISTS to watch it unfold. 

Well, Nesta has no inclination to date, and Az is paying, so, one less meal for her to make or pay for. And that’s how Cassian met the woman he knew he wanted a future with - and the scheming daughter who made sure to give him hell for it, too. 

(Like when he visits her work, only to find she often takes Bri with her because Bri is very color coordinated, and argues that most companies ask for experience for entry level jobs - the sass!)

Headcanon that Cassian loves the way Nesta braids her hair and he wants her to teach him how to do that to his hair

I don't think that Nessian will be having a baby anytime soon. But how do you imagine? Just one or more, boy or girl? Maybe you think it is an exaggeration, but in my imagination Nessian would have twins, 3 babies, 2 boys (without wings) and a girl (with wings). (3 children with wings probably seemed too much in my imagination, poor Nesta 😂😂😂)

I think tou’re right, I think Nesta is still on her healing journey and they are too new to dive straight in. I really like how this relationship is more realistic than Feysand in that they are taking their time and being a more modern couple. Which is funny if you think that Feyre was supposed to be the rebellious one. Not that a woman should be judged for wanting children early—it’s a choice and that’s what feminism is—but I’m proud of Nesta for breaking free of that thinking and doing what’s best for her and Cassian.

I haven’t thought too much about their children—only that their first born will be a girl with wings. I’d like them all to have wings actually, but that’s because I’m obsessed with the Illyrian culture I’ve dreamt up in my fic E&L.

I love the thought of Nesta having three children with Illyrian wings. It would make me so damn proud of her and the growth she has gone through (human to mated faerie). Human Nesta would have balked but she’s not that judgemental girl anymore...

I do have a HC that Nessian’s babies curl their wings around whatever limb of their parents they can—an arm, a leg, a waist. ANYTHING to be close and needy and warm 😭🦇

Just a quick Nessian HC

You know how in Heir of Fire, Rowan says to Aelin “you collect scars because you want proof that you’re paying for whatever sins you’ve committed”

Nesta knows that she’s hurt Cassian, knows that every word she’s told him (even though they were empty and she never believed them) caused Cassian pain.

“Apologize to who you feel the need to” that’s what he told her that day

She hasn’t apologized to him and it’s partly because she doesn’t know how. Can’t seem to look him in the eye and address the issue.

And deep down she hasn’t forgiven herself for that

It started happening when she finally asked to train once a week at Windhaven. She wants other females to see her train, see what they can accomplish if they wish it.

One male said a snide comment about Cassain and she all but knocked him on his ass. It was the surprise element that allowed her to do it, but nonetheless the male got on his feet and started fighting her.

It was something she started doing when she heard anyone saying anything bad about Cassain.

Even when Cassain kept saying “it’s okay Nes, I’m used to it by now. It doesn’t matter.” She still managed to fight them all.

It wasn’t until one fight that lasted for 15 minutes that Cassian noticed it. She was prolonging it on purpose. Her technique was similar to all the times she fought the other males, and much more sloppier than when she spars with him.

Later that night when he was brushing back her hair from her face to clean a small scar, he managed to whisper, “why?”

She blinked

“I know you fight better than this.”

She opened her mouth to say something but then couldn’t say whatever she was gonna say.

“Nes look at me. Talk to me”

“I... I said the same thing to you once”

And that’s when it dawned on him. She fights those males both for his and her sake. Her own personal punishment. The fights, all the beatings she allows herself to get from them, are her own way of paying for everything she’s said to him.

“You did.” He set down the cloth and held her face in his hands. “And if you’re looking for my forgiveness, you already have it. And if you’re looking for yours, I promise you won’t find it in a fighting pit. Fights are good for letting loose some tension, but they don’t really matter much when it comes to what you’re looking to get out of them.”

A small tear slid down her face. “I’m sorry”

He slowly kissed her.

“As I am. I knew I crossed some lines at the time.”

She kissed him back, just as slowly.

“I forgive you”

“How generous. If you wanna do my a favor though? Next time you’re out their defending my honor” - she snorted -“make it quick. Show them exactly how skilled you are.”

“You think so?”

“I know so. After all, your mate did teach you well”

She couldn’t help rolling her eyes, even as she continued smiling

I though about this and now I can’t get it out of my mind. I find Aelin and Nesta to be so similar in very different ways.

been watching a lot of clone wars lately so lol have this random star wars nessian hc obvs before the formation of the galactic empire

nesta is a jedi master

nesta is known to show bravery on the field already commanded a legion of troopers to take down 4 separatists strongholds

but also having a cold exterior which many mistake for rudeness but even her men know that she’s do anything to protect them and the innocent

she’s assigned to onderon for a status update on the rebuilding of the city and their new relationship with the Republic

there she meets the new captain of their rebel force, cassian

ever the handsome tanned warrior with a strong build and blinding smile

smug brute is more like it

showing off the latest battle formations he created and machinery for any pending separatist attack

also calling her sweetheart which earns him a steely glare

her clone troopers always grimace when cassian strolls by bc there was bound to be an onslaught between the two

cassian constantly tries to catch nesta in the middle of her meditations to catch her off guard

it usually ends up with him hanging upside down 5ft in the air, while she maintains her meditation

‘okay geez! sorry...nes.”

she lets him plummet to the ground with an oof

then she gets a transmission from the jedi council that the separatists are planning an attack to take back the city and reestablish supply lines

cassian and nesta immediately get to work to hatch a plan for the assault

nesta has yet to see cassian in a serious atmosphere but he comes up with a solid plan knowing the structure of the city.

she notices how deep his eyebrows furrow when he’s thinking, how his calloused hands glide over his sharp jawline-

focus she tells herself

with the help of the republic, more clone troopers descend on onderon to aide them

cassian leads the charge as tanks of separatists battle droids try to break through the city’s gates

nesta is right beside him as they break through. using her lightsaber to deflect shots.

cassian’s rebel forces use their jet pack equipment to dominate the skies and push the droids further away from the city

meanwhile nesta leading her clone troopers on the ground slashing through the droid army

victory is near right when nesta feels a disturbance and looks towards the horizons where a separatists fleet of ships have arrived.

instinctively she looked up towards cassian. ‘FALL BACK CAPTAIN’ she yelled not sure if he could hear her through the mess

but he did. his dark brown eyes met hers from so far away but she felt his attention on her.

he commanded his forces to retreat and regroup with her troopers.

nesta was relieved when she felt his life force closing the distance between them.

she called for republic air support who drove off the fleet.

and tried to ignore the comfort in seeing him unharmed, still smiling from ear to ear

‘worried about me, sweetheart?’

she gritted her teeth and hopefully tries to calm her nerves before she started blushing. oh gods not in front of her men.

‘battles not over yet, general.’ said one of her troopers as he pointed towards the droids beginning to push to the gates again.

‘let’s finish this.’ nesta said nodding towards cassian who switched back to battle mode, preparing to take the skies again

her clone troops and his rebel forces continued to successfully drive the battle droids back to their ships where they finally retreated

‘ill ensure the council that onderon is safe, captain.’

the battle was won, the city’s walls would need rebuilding but the assault will drive away the separatists for awhile now.

‘or you can come and check up on us anytime you like.’ he added with a wink.

she scoffed but let her mouth slip into a small smile

‘that’s up to the jedi council.’

‘or you can give me your comlink’ he suggested with genuine hope

a jedi must not have attachments her masters voice rang through her head

‘im afraid that’s classified captain.’ she said as she climbed aboard her ship

cassian, a bit disappointed, only shrugged ‘a guy can only try’

she waved him off ‘stay safe cassian.’

‘you too nesta.’
