B: What is your first thought when you receive a message on Tumblr, are you excited for the idea of someone from potentially the other side of the world wanting to talk to you or fearful that someone will criticize you? That utterly depends on how many messages I find waiting for me when I log in. I’m almost always excited, but if there’s 5+ messages, my immediate reaction is “Oh crap. What did I DO?!”
M. If you could have the ability to manipulate matter or energy, which would you choose?
This is actually a trick question, because if Einstein taught us anything, it’s that matter and energy can be interchanged...so technically, holding power over one would allow you to manipulate the other, too.
But if I had to choose only one, I would go with matter, simply because EVERYTHING in the universe consists of matter, and I believe in going big.
P. All the sequels/remakes/adaptations/rip-offs in movies nowadays, good or bad?
Much like everything else in this world, there’s both good and bad examples. Fury Road? WAY better than Mad Max, imo. The Carrie remake? Pointless, as it was LITERALLY a shot by shot do-over of the original. I’m sort of a middle-of-the-road person when it comes to this, as I have to judge on a case by case basis.
T. If everyone in the world would automatically only know one language, which language would you choose?
Russian. I don’t know what it is that draws me to that language, but I absolutely love the sound of Russian being spoken.
Z. Can you understand the mindset and logic used by the opposite spiritual opinion? An atheist understanding the belief in a higher power and vice versa.
Absolutely. I’ve been around the sun for a few more trips than the average Tumblr user, and I’ve also studied quite a few religions. In my life I’ve been everything from a practicing charismatic Christian, to a Wiccan, to...whatever the hell I am now. That’s given me a unique viewpoint when it comes to religion, and/or the lack thereof. As it stands, I can understand the need one person may have for organized religion, and the disdain another holds for the same.
What I can’t understand is anyone using their religion to perpetuate hate.
