netfit is a fucking public shaming ritual. i mean let's put the most insecure age group in a room with the people who's opinion they care about the most and loudly announce who's fat. and unathletic.
i understand that the goverment and the ministry of health need these data but grading it?!?!?! grading a person's endurance with little to no preparation publicly is absolutely lunatic. as if it doesn't entirely depend on the person's genetical and societical background and their extracurricular activities. and let's not mention the music that triggers every student's ptsd.
"oh but if it isn't graded people won't give their best!" stfu. people won't be ecouraged to care more about their fittness by shaming them. i mean some will, they'll do their best to avoid future embarrassement, but their relationship with exercise won't ever be a positive one. it'll always be a negative-but-necessary experience to avoid being the laughing stock the next time cooper of inga rolls around.
but the whole system is worthless. no wonder during free time students just sit around doing nothing, because the way they're introduced to movement is unpleasant. because instead of learning breathing techniques, they are forced to run until their lungs hurt. instead of explaining the rules of a game they're just thrown into a situation of total confusion. instead of learning which strech is the best for which group of muscle the topic if streching is totally avoided.
students sit 8-9 or more hours in the same desks and don't get any help from the teachers who's job is to help them regulate their body. no wonder out entire generation's posture is fucked up when no adult gives a damn about it.
but the worst thing is that the whole thing is deeply connected to shame. we have the football boys and the volleyball girls and everyone else if a fat fucking failure.
