“Like my new coat?”

This is the first art I ever commissioned of my new design and it captured my heart. Completely convinced me to commission Savio for my vtuber model. I felt so much gender euphoria seeing the complete piece. Please check out the rest of his art below on Twitter!

(In general, I highly recommend nonbinary/genderfluid/masc-presenting vtubers to commission him! He worked with me to make my design very gender affirming for me. So worth it!!)

So, I was reflecting on how I grew as a vtuber and it’s STAGGERING to see how I changed over time. I started with 2 vroid models then a custom 3d model. My latest one is a 2D model.

Just know that it’s completely ok to start small - you will grow over time! Be patient with yourself and build your finances overtime if you want to invest in this hobby. Take care of yourself first and you’ll see growth.

Late Night Nethyr Thoughts

To be honest, it’s a bit terrifying to almost start from 0 again. I was really happy that I could reach at least 1k followers on Twitter but all those efforts can easily go away thanks to one person.

It’s mainly terrifying for me because I was never super active on social media until I became a vtuber about two years ago. But I need to reassure myself - if I can get there once then I can do it again. Maybe I can reach 1k in 6 months instead a year? Maybe I can reach it in less time.

But time has a limit - I can’t spend all my time on growing social media. I should be making proper content instead. But what is proper content at the end of the day?

To make someone happy? To up lift someone? I genuinely love cheering up people and helping them relax after a long day. I’m just experiencing the blues...but I hope putting my thoughts out there helps people feel less alone with similar thoughts.

My favorite part about being a vtuber is being able to express myself in a way that matches my gender (I’m genderfluid btw) ! I’ve been hella closeted irl and it’s hard for me to express myself physically due to costs and irl circumstances. For me, vtubing is cheaper in the long run and I get to make my own safe space to talk about things I love. It’s gratifying to be able to make my own little place on the internet as a vtuber!
