Remixing King’s Justice’s ‘Full Steam Ahead,’ US indie producer neu kreis creates a whole new vibe that stands equal with the original.

neu kreis’remix carves out a laidback 80s pop electro-reggae soundscape streaked with neon-hued synths and an organic drum beat. Keeping it simple, the remix retains the cool and casual mood of King Justice’s original, but neu kreis also manages to put his own fun and luminous flair across it, or as he likes to call it, turning ‘basic ingredients into tasty pastries.’

neu kreis has no limits to what he’ll remix, his bio stating that: ‘I try to give the songs a different spin, and I don't try to limit myself to a specific genre.’ It’s that kind of eagerness to experiment that makes neu kreis not just another ‘doof doof’ EDM wannabe blitzing the scene. Judging by his other remixes (particularly of Fringe Class’ ‘Parakeet’), there’s enough atmosphere to keep things chilled, but still able to keep the party lively.
