One of the first attempts I made on using any form of Machine Learning was a simple Neural Style Transfer with Satellite images. It is a very straightforward way of testing the abilities of a Neural Network regarding feature recognition. This series that you see below tested the abilities of Diffusion Models such as Midjourney to construct urban textures based on text imput. In particular using V4 of Midjourney. Every time a new version comes out, it is one of the first tests I do. I always thought it is amusing that Midjourney has 'trouble' recreating the orthogonal view from space. Either there are not a lot of satellite images in the dataset, or the weights in Midjourney are set to prefer spatial representations instead of orthogonal ones. Let me know your thoughts.
