Is there something you don’t know the meaning of but you haven’t asked anyone because you think it’s supposed to be general knowledge? Was there ever something you had to ask someone to explain?

OKAY the situation that comes to mind w/ this isn’t RP-related, it’s from when young lil ghost first got into the internet. our adventure began in RUNESCAPE—this was literally, like, my First Day playing an MMO, & i. just. i didn’t know what the hell was happening around me. everything was so confusing & i was so lost. i at least figured out how to get around & use the chat, but what hindered me was the ACRONYMS everyone was using. i thought there was some dude named ‘Ty’ that everyone was trying to get the attention of.

eventually i stopped some dude & asked him, i was like ‘what is ty,’& this guy. he was so patient. he explained ty to me. he explained np to me.he explained everything that was relevant at the time. & at the end - i remember clearly - he said : “now what do you say ?”

me : “TY !!!”

This is ‘ow Winston can tweak i’, too. Ya can see m’lungs, too, if you look in there when the accelerator’s out. Kinda o’ a weird sensation; Mercy told me it was the strangest thing she’s seen in her medical history.”

THAT REALLY DEPENDS. if we’re talking weirdest as in the weirdest character… i’d almost call it a tossup between bill cipher & cecil palmer. i think bill wins it out though because at least cecil is human ( i mean, probably human. lmao it’s always been a bit questionable but also i haven’t listened to wtnv in way, way too long ). glowing, floating eye of providence in a top hat from a nightmare dimension takes the “weird” cake.

but if we’re talking weirdest as in the weirdest choice of muse, i’ll always think my jurassic world dino muses have been the strangest things i’ve picked up to actually write. like, so much so that even since going for it writing them again, i worry that a lot of people… side-eye it, you know? but gosh, they’re so much fun to explore tbqh.

     What a lovely gesture, though it was a little strange, to say the least.     ‘There is no need to fear,’ he said. ‘I do not plan on letting anybody hurt me.’     And why would anybody hurt him? Except @greenscarvesandredhair & @bloodcoded, and probably some others…

The woman runs up to Newt, quick to pass the somewhat bulky package in her arms over to him. Brown eyes glitter as she smiles. "Happy birthday, Newt. I hope you like it. I made sure the yarn was really soft. You and your creatures need to stay warm, okay?" She's quick to relieve them both of the social pressure of a thank you, darting away and returning to her Healing duties before he unwraps the knitted blanket.

  there’s barely time to get the words out with how QUICK she is to leave after handing him the gift. it’s over almost as quickly as she appeared, and newt is left STARING after kit with the parcel in his hands, blinking, completely bewildered. he hopes that she at least heard his startled ATTEMPT at expressing gratitude.

in truth, he’d forgotten that today is his birthday, but it IS the twenty-fourth, isn’t it? no doubt he’ll receive an owl from theseus later on, PROBABLY with an invitation to dinner tonight. again.

allowing his gaze to drop to the package in his arms once kit has disappeared from sight, newt carefully steps off to the side of the corridor and gently tears open the wrapping. judging from what he can see and what kit said, it’s a BLANKET — a very heavy and warm one, given the bulkiness of it. he can’t help the slight smile that quirks at his lips as he brushes a hand over the folded gift, feeling the SOFTNESS of the material beneath his fingertips. did she make this herself? it’s an incredibly sweet gift no matter what, but if she went out of her way to MAKE IT for him…

he’ll have to find her later to thank her properly. OR… perhaps send her a nice thank you note with a picture of his new baby nifflers enjoying the blanket, instead.

Mouth settling into a thin line, Reyes absorbs the ridicule hurled at him, rather than make any attempt to defend himself. As ugly as it was, it happened to be the indisputable truth, a fact he would never dare to change, even if such was within his power to do so.

“Yeah, I know, I’m a bastard.” He chimes in, brows creasing at his attempt at self-deprecation. Reyes had burned down more than a few bridges in his time, but all in the name of fulfilling the harrowing remit he was saddled with; preemptively eliminating targets before they can threaten to disrupt the fragile peace Overwatch had fought hard to obtain.

“It’s a wise move, on their part. ‘Cuz if you hang with me, you’re liable to take a dirtnap sooner rather than later.”
