Kiss The Teacher - Bastian Schweinsteiger / Manuel Neuer : Chapter 1
Chapter Summary: A 17 year old Manuel Neuer begins his first day at his new school. He is a somewhat of a shy young boy and fellow student, Thomas Müller is his guide for the day. When Thomas forgets his homework for his dreaded English teacher, Manuel’s mind begins to wander about what his new English teacher is like. For better or for worse.
A/N: so yeah this is my first football fic that I’ve published. I hope you guys like it cause this ship is glorious. Feedback would be appreciated!
"Honey, I’m sure you’ll do fine. A new school is only scary on the first day, I’m sure you’ll find people to talk to. Besides, you only have one more year of school left anyways."
"So you’re saying that I’m not going to fit in?"
Manuel sighed as he fumbled with his straps on his bag. He didn’t even see why he had to go to school. He was turning 18 in a few months and he was focusing on his football career, or at least he was trying to.
His mother went up on her tip toes to sort out her darling boy’s hair. She wanted her boy to look dashing for his first day at his new school.
"Sweetie, you’ll find boys that play football. Maybe they can even test your skills and you never know, you might even snag a cute girl too!" She teased while she lead him to the door.
"Mum! Don’t talk about stuff like that, it’s embarrassing." Manuel mumbled quietly before he dragged himself out of the house.
He didn’t want to go to this school. Mostly because he had double English first. He hated English, he wasn’t good at it at all and he would have nobody to talk to. And he had to be at the school early to be shown around the place so really, today wasn’t a good day at all.
When he finally arrived at the school, he couldn’t help but feel his stomach tingle. Why was he nervous? He was almost 18 years old. He shouldn’t be nervous. Manuel shook his nerves off and strode into the school grounds. There was only a few teacher’s cars parked since it was so early. He pushed one of the front doors open and noticed that there was a receptionist that seemed to be waiting on him. Manuel took a step towards the desk and awkwardly smiled at the woman.
"Are you Manuel Neuer?" She asked with a warm smile that made his shoulders relax and feel a little less nervous.
"Um, yes. Do you want me to sign somewhere?"
He leaned forward instinctively but he soon realised that there was no pen to pick up and he bumped into the glass. Nice first impression he made.
"No, there’s no need. As long as I’ve seen you, you don’t need to sign anything. Your year head is waiting for you, along with your guide. So off you pop, you’ve got a busy day ahead of you."
She laughed softly as she began writing down some notes but Manuel was sure she was laughing at him. Manuel pushed the next door open and noticed two people standing a few feet away from him. One was very…short. And was wearing a suit so Manuel assumed that was his year head and the other was probably his guide.
"You must be Manuel, come over here."
The small man smiled and Manuel did what he was told. He tried to keep his laughter from bursting out. He towered over him and Manuel found it hilarious.
Manuel smiled widely but it soon dropped when he saw the smaller man begin to write notes in his pad.
"As you’ve probably guessed, I am your year head, Mr. Lahm. If you have any problems, you come to me. And at the end of your day I want you to come and see me, okay?"
Mr. Lahm was slightly intimidated by his new student’s height but it wasn’t obvious at all in his tone.
Manuel nodded and clutched onto his bag straps. He then glanced over to the other student, who gave him a toothy grin.
"This is Thomas Müller and he’s in all of your classes…I don’t know if that’s a good thing or not"
Mr. Lahm chuckled in good taste, and so did Thomas.
"He won’t get get lost with me, Sir. Promise."
Thomas extended his hand out to Manuel’s and he gladly shook his hand. Thomas looked like a sincere enough person, he also seemed like a funny person. He hoped that he’d get to know Thomas in the future.
"Thomas, I think you should start the tour. I have work to do."
Mr. Lahm smiled at the two boys before he headed back to his office.
"He ain’t always like that, once you get to know him he’s quite decent."
Thomas shrugged while he tossed his bag over his shoulder.
"I don’t actually need to give you a tour. You’re in all of my classes so…there’s no need. But you can come with me, I wanna drop of my bag in registration first.”
"Um, okay then…I suppose I’ll do that as well then."
Manuel spoke quietly to the smaller boy. He seemed somewhat arrogant but it didn’t bother him, some people were just like that. He followed Thomas into the corridor and eventually into their registration class. Manuel closed the door behind him and stood next to the whiteboard. He rested his hands behind his back as he watched Thomas toss his bag onto his table without a care in the world.
"Well come on, sit next to me. I don’t bite."
Thomas stuck his tongue out at the new student while patting the empty seat.
Manuel blinked a few times before he sheepishly sat down next to Thomas while placing his bag neatly under his seat.
Thomas asked bluntly as he prodded the top button of Manuel’s shirt. He was so quiet and somehow, Thomas thought that he must be posh.
"What? No. I’m not posh I’m just not a morning person, that’s all."
Manuel shrugged while he looked at the clock, then at Thomas’ smile. He didn’t have long until registration started so it wasn’t all bad. Then again it was still pretty bad. It was early in the morning and that always bad in Manuel’s book.
"Our registration teacher ain’t a morning person either so it’s wise to keep quiet."
Thomas rolled his eyes while he checked his phone. No messages, as usual. He sighed to himself while he rested his head on the desk.
But suddenly he shot up looked at Manuel with a terrified look on his face.
"What is it?! Have I done something wrong?"
Manuel stood up and backed away from Thomas ever so slightly.
Thomas buried his face into his hands and began shaking his head.
"I’m so dead. I’m so dead!”
Thomas whined pathetically while refusing to show his face.
Manuel felt silly since he was still standing up do he sat back down in his seat and looked at Thomas with a puzzled expression. Why would he be dead? Was it something to do with a teacher?
Thomas peaked from behind his fingers and mumbled to himself before he removed his hands.
"I forgot my homework for English! I’m so dead. Manuel it was nice knowing you-"
"Thomas you’re being silly. I’m sure she’s not that bad-"
“HE, Manuel. Our English teacher is a guy. And when you don’t have homework, he’ll eat you alive. Some people call him “the beast from Bavaria…” but I would never call him that! I’d rather see myself living-“
Thomas just wouldn’t stop rambling and Manuel had a fair idea that his fear was genuine. What if this teacher was as terrifying as Thomas was making him out to be? Manuel began painting a picture of this devil teacher in his mind. Old, over dressed and genuinely terrifying looking…the works.
"Maybe he’ll be busy with me for the beginning, y’know, getting me settled in and stuff?"
Manuel said awkwardly while pursing his lips.
"I hope so, for my sake." Thomas whined.
But before Manuel could say anything else, the bell rang for registration. Finally, Manuel would see what the other students looked like. A group of girls came in giggling but they stopped for a moment when they saw Manuel. They began whispering to each other before their giggles filled the room once more. They caused Manuel to blush ever so slightly but he shook it off and he returned his attention to Thomas.
"Those girls are always giggling, don’t worry about it."
Thomas patted Manuel on the shoulder who’s lips curled into a small smile.
"I can’t wait to see him today, he’s so hot! I can barely concentrate!"
One cooed loud enough that the whole room could hear her.
"I’m so jealous of his girlfriend!” The other sighed.
Thomas swallowed thickly and craned his head towards registration teacher, Mr. Hummels.
His hair was messy and his shirt was creased. He was clutching a cup of coffee and he looked like he had just woke up from a thousand year slumber. He began calling out the register slowly and eventually called out Manuel’s and Müller’s names.
"Are they talking about him?"
Manuel asked in disbelief while nudging Thomas and he shook his head quickly.
Thomas gulped while he pulled his bag over his shoulder. When the be rang, the group of girls scurried out of the classroom and off to their class.
Manuel got out of his chair and tucked it in gently and waited for Thomas at the door.
"I want to die. Honestly."
Thomas mumbled as he began leading the new student to his English class.
“Trust me, you’ll know who they’re talking about.”
Thomas rolled his eyes as they both continued to walk towards their English class. Manuel could only wonder what the Beast From Bavaria had in store for him.
