My mother. God bless her. Always told us: We should never be weak. She said if you were weak, someone would "take what is yours, give it back to you and expect you to say thank you".
Think about it, let it simmer. Don't let them take your dignity and your peace of mind. Don't let them take what is yours. Don't let them give you less than you deserve or treat you poorly, because you were weak.
Now, there's a time to feign weakness, and a time to endure indignities till the situation improves. There may be a time to suffer briefly, till you reap the rewards. We all do, from time to time, in this case you are not being weak, but strategic.
