Hey I'm a bit confused- I've researched for hours yet I'm still confused on prayer for deities. I want to pray to aphrodite, but I don't know how? Is it just giving her offerings? I'm very confused.
Hi darling, thanks for the ask!
Saying a pray is not giving an offering, although praying can be used as an offering or to accompany an offering.
Praying, to me anyway, is basically just a way of expressing your love for a deity or of asking them for something. It doesn't not have to have an offering with it, and can be said out loud or in your head. Really, there is no right way to do it.
Hope this helps,
Bless, Never
Amber-eyed one,
Of beauty and grace
Whose love warps our minds in beautiful and painful ways,
I raise my hands to the sky,
I shout my praise,
You who has risen from sea foam
Great, Golden Goddess
May my love no know bounds,
As I sing your praises to the Heavens!
