i literally can't remember if i've asked this before but care to explain more how rix and xigbar fell for each other? 👀

basically!! Rix and Xigbar actually fell for each other prior to his becoming Xigbar. big wall of text beneath

during Birth By Sleep’s story, Rix accidentally sends themself to Radiant Garden, and meets Braig when he just got his face and eye blasted by Terra. they actually help him patch up with first aid, much as he initially refuses their help, and they part ways with Rix getting a potion in return for their assisting him.

after all that, Rix has no way of getting back to the Mysterious Tower, though, so they end up befriending characters like scrooge mcduck and merlin, and end up staying with Merlin for a year.

During this year, of course, the events of bbs have happened - Terra-Xehanort shows up, and Rix even meets him, noting something extremely familiar about him(bc they met Terra during BBS!) and also noting that he’s called Xehanort, but they where originally told Xehanort was an old man... they also worry about what could’ve happened to the pupils of Eraqus in general, whether they lost or what is going on

during this year of rix not getting shit for answers, they end up meeting Ansem the Wise and co and end up spending a lot of time with one of the guards/apprentices, which just so happens to be Braig. Braig is curious abt Rix bc he’s literally never seen them before, and they talk about some sort of inner darkness they have andh es like. oh that sounds like something to do while i wait things out then!

however, he very much starts to (though he wouldn’t openly admit it) enjoy their company, and they enjoy his. they end up meeting at sunsets a lot, maybe sharing books theyve read (bc despite everything with braig/xigbar’s demeanor suggesting otherwise, i hc he likes books and reading).

eventually, Mickey comes by in a gummy ship and picks Rix up like. god only a short amount of time before Xehanort’s plan goes into action and he steals the research yada yada yada kh plot.

however this means Rix doesn’t meet Braig until KH2, when he shows up as Xigbar. good news is Rix kisses him before they leave Radiant Garden, so they WERE officially pretty romantic its just. then rix had no way of keeping in touch w him anymore

and yeah thats essentially how they initially fall in love

Raihan, the “confined” royal who still finds every opportunity to make public appearances to both eat up the attention of and encourage the people, with Dragon, their exasperated guard who really thinks he should maybe try to do less dangerous stunts and stick to waving down from the castle walls. It really wouldn’t be so bad if he wasn’t determined to put himself in the thick of trouble...

...alternatively, there’s also Dragon whose name is ironic for a royal “locked away in a tower,” and even more ironic is the fact that the best of their guards is the Dragon-Type user Raihan. They both sneak out for secret flights, because Dragon doesn’t do well with the responsibilities of their station and needs something to look forward to, and Raihan both likes stirring the pot a little and doing everything he can to make them smile.

Raihan is the sun, like can you imagine this brilliant man as anything other than the brightest entity in the sky? He enjoys helping people with his rays of sunshine, and of course digs the praise this gets him but really it’s about helping them live their lives. But he can’t help “sneaking glances” at Dragon aka the moon, off by their lonesome just, kinda vibin’. He thinks they’re fantastic and should get some “spotlight” too - so he comes up with a brilliant plan that takes a LOT of convincing before they go along with it. Every so often, he shakes things up by bringing them with him, briefly blocking his sunlight and putting them center-stage. Hence, the legend behind solar eclipses! They’re also really close during them and that’s why the eclipse is brief because they get too flustered from proximity and attention and RUN JFASTNG

just knowing me i would say lyon is the prep that stays out of trouble and terra is the greaser, though i don’t think that terra actually wants to cause that much trouble? more that he got kinda roped into it and now just hangs out w them. and for the headcanon i just think itd be really cool if they ate lunch together or something and lyon started bringing food for him... idk i just think thats cute :)

i like this au a lot because ive seen things about how the moon and the sun dont like each other or smth? like no! they’re in love! lyon would definitely be the moon and terra is the sun, i’m not sure how to describe it but definitely slow burn where they each kind of realize that they have a crush on the other after how many years of working together

🌙 So! To refresh memories, Rix has known Xigbar since his Braig days, and event helped tend to his. you know. injuries that he got from Terra! but that was only the start of their romance, as Rix couldn’t get back to the Mysterious Tower where they had grown up with Yen Sid for. reasons

🌙 anyway, Rix started staying at Ansem the Wise’s place for a while! And. When they left, they shared their first kiss with Braig. Soon after, of course, Xehanort/Ansem’s plan started kicking into effect, but they were already gone at that point.

🌙 also, for fun fact: kingdom hearts heights are wack and unknown so i decided Xigbar was 6 foot seven. Rix is 5 foot. (:
