HEAR ME OUT
buck properly comes to out everyone with tommy by his side at athena and bobbys house during a 118 cookout but tommy just looks annoyed and isnt really paying attention to buck. later on that night everyone is sitting outside and eddie is in the kitchen looking and buck and tommy are sitting side by side and buck is telling a story and tommy just looks unisterested. karen comes in and stands next to eddie and is like "you love him, don't you?" and eddie just looks at her then looks down at his feet while also smiling. he hears tommy telling a story and looks back up to see buck just staring at tommy lovingly. eddie just absolutely vents to karen about his feelings for buck. "so you love him?" "of COURSE i do" of course he loves him. its the next day at the firehouse and theyre all chilling in the loft and tommy comes up the stairs. buck gets up and launches himself at tommy and kisses him. eddie just stares at them. tommy takes buck to the locker room and they talk for like 30 minutes. buck comes back with tear-stained cheeks and bloodshot eyes. nobody asks whats wrong but they all have a feeling. bobby comes from the kitchen and tells buck he can go home if he wants to. buck gets up and leaves. "tommy definitely broke up with him." hen says, and like everybody agrees with her. eddie really doesnt mean it but just smiles like a little girl in a candy shop. eddie tries to give buck some space but caves after 2 days. he goes over to his loft and unlocks the door to darkness and quietness. he calls out for buck and gets a sniffle in response. he basically sprints up the stairs and sees a big ball of pillows, blankets, and buck. nothing but his face is showing and he looks adorable. "buck? whats wrong? you okay?" buck shakes his head no. "wanna talk about it?" no. "okay. well i'm gonna go, okay?" buck reaches out and grabs his hand. "stay?" eddie smiles and bucks eyes soften in a way that they would only have done with tommy or chris. eddie is a little shocked, but of course, he stays for buck. just for buck. right? eddie gets into the bed and buck is like all cuddly and sad and soft because his boyfriend just broke up with him. and eddie just wraps his arms around him and buck nuzzles his face into eddies neck and breathes in and kisses him there. and eddie internally panics. but he keeps his cool. and eddie just kisses buck on the top of his head and hugs him tighter and buck just breaks down. eddie is just holding him and rubbing his back and comforting him as much as he can. buck eventually cries himself to sleep and eddie just talks to technically no one. "i love you so much, buck. i could tell something was off yesterday with tommy and i had a feeling this would happen. and im so sorry for you buck. you did not deserve what he did and tommy didnt deserve your love. not when he didnt give it back. but i will, buck. i will love you for who you are. and i hope you feel the same way." and eddie goes to sleep. the next morning when they wake up together eddie is lying there and buck looks up at him from his hiding spot. "i love you too, eds."
