A few days worth of Nevermore doodles

Heard we're doing Nevermore mlp au

I have a bit of a dilemma, idk what colour to make Will

I feel like the tan suits him best, but then i run into the problem of, the whole clusterfuck team is some shade of brown except for Ada (i might make Annabel a different colour like baby blue tho) and I feel like there's only other colour Will could be is blue

Thoughts?

Make will tan, deal with the brown abundance

Make will tan, make monty and Annabel different colours

I like the blue/keep trying the blues on Will

Other/secret third option/who tf is this?

can you explain the thought process behind the cutie marks <3

Of course!! There's not much of a thought process, tbh. In my au the cutie marks are based off their spectre designs. I usually take a key/signature part of their spectre and go off that

Some of the cutie marks were obvious, like Pluto getting a paw and Annabel getting her chest crystal, but with some of them (like Eulalie and Ada) there wasn't rlly anything too significant enough about their spectre that was able to be simplified into a cutie mark design, so I had to get a little creative with what I chose to represent them. Eulalie got the lantern that she gave Lenore becuase the only other option was a fish, and Ada got a bow because she has a couple bows in her spectre design, and it ties back to her love of femininity (plus the spotted green background to hint at how she's actually rotting and ugly inside)

I've been thinking more about the cutie marks, and i have a couple ideas for what they do when the user enters their spectre form. Either the cutie mark disappears as the user draws power from it to transform, or the cutie mark grows to cover the leg/body to signify the growth in power (im leaning towards the first option)

And theyre all blank flanks until they unlock their spectre
