A few things that have caught my attention:

Will has used his powers outside of specter form

This hasn’t even been talked about, let alone confirmed to only be possible once you manifest

These two places that only Lenore has been to are Both in the void

Started editing the things about this that bother me one by one

Biggest thing was the thigh high boots that are like this for. Some reason

It’s wild how much more cohesive it looks just from that. In my edit, there are three really visible light spots against the dark background on her person - her face, blades, and hair. Two things that you generally will wanna draw attention to, and one framing device. In the original, there’s one big significant bright spot in her design, and it’s her legs. Why are we looking at her legs. What do thigh high boots have to do with her character and why are they the most eye catching fixture of her whole specter? Is this meant to be fan service of some kind? Genuinely what was the logic behind this design choice

However, I do not like looking at this

And this puzzles me. All the things that got added are stuff that’s cool on paper. I love light hair contrasted with dark skin, I love devil aesthetic things, I love chains and elaborate gold decoration. I love elongated claw like fingers that get black towards the end, I love sharp teeth. I love goat hybrid designs. I love when somebody has a second form that’s more powerful, and the hair is longer. I already know dark red looks good on Montresor, I’ve edited his face to have makeup before.

so why does all that, added up, look ugly to me.

especially since these close up shots?

They look fine. The face looks as cool as I would expect it to given the concept -if you isolate it. Why does putting it all together make it look ugly to me? Insane.

Is it just that it’s too busy? I will draw him and experiment with taking things away or putting them on differently until I figure it out
