Ever wonder what it LOOKS like in terms of vibration when you shoot a bow with NO String Stop versus the TAP String Stop? You know us...constantly curious. 🎯🎯🎯 The top graph is with no string stop. Pay no mind to the green data ...it's just ongoing background noise... there's always noise present in the background at all frequencies even if you can't hear it. 🎯🎯🎯 So what stands out here?? Besides the fact that it feels awful to shoot the bow without one! A few things. 🎯🎯🎯 1) Peak volume is about identical! Interesting. 🎯🎯🎯 2) With NO String Stop there are 6 frequencies that reach or exceed the 60 mark. With TAP Stop there are only 3... and THIS is why it sounds quieter to you, you FEEL the difference in your hand and bystanders will comment about how quiet the bow is. Suppression of certain bands in the entire stream of noise. 🎯🎯🎯 3) The most significant reductions occur in the 2k Hertz and higher range.
