Auntie Jill, I wanted to ask your opinion on something: What do you think of natural blonde goths? My hair is very damaged from dye, so I have a mohawk right now that is around 50 shades of blonde and silver, and I never feel as if I'm goth enough. But what is your opinion on blonde goths in general? I was curious about what our wonderful resident eldergoth had to say on the matter
That natural blonde goths are awesome? That all hair colors, styles, textures, or no hair at all have NO BEARING on how goth someone may be.
In other words: PHYSICAL CHARACTERISTICS DO NOT DETERMINE SOMEONE'S GOTHNESS LEVEL. Race? Body type? Tattoos or not? Piercings or not? NONE of those things should make a bit of difference when someone says they're a goth. Do you like the music? Do you like the aesthetic? Do you look for beauty and wonder in strange, dark, or unusual things? Congratulations, you're "goth enough". Stop fretting about your hair color, pumpkin. :D
