He feels pretty confident that the long rickety table in the linen room is not the best place for this.
Or 3. Ted was in love with Robin, he met TM, she was "the one", he loved her so much he never thought of Robin or anyone else again. The Mother died, he was alone for 6 years. And then he was with someone he loved and made him happy. You never stop loving the people you love and you can fall in love many times.
neverwhyonlywho replied to your post: there are two ways to take the ending ...
Are “never” and “always” really the only options? No middle ground? None? No even a little? :)
Okay I'm gonna reply to these two together
So if we're to believe that Ted was in love with Robin and in love with the mother throughout various points in his life (and let's distinguish the fact that "in love" =/= "love"). Basically Ted's in love with Robin for like eight years, until he meets the mother. At which point he's not in love with Robin anymore - so how truly was he in love with Robin that he just easily let it go when he met this new woman? Now Ted's in love with the mother for like seventeen years, until she dies and he moves on. At which point he's either still in love with the mother and settling for Robin, or he's not in love with the mother anymore - so how truly was he in love with the mother that he was able to let her go after she died?
Either way you spin it, that paints Ted out to be this horrible guy that's easily able to let go of the intense love he feels for one woman once it's not the convenient choice anymore.
Even if Ted was once in his life in love with Robin (there's no doubt that he loves her as a friend), the fact that he returned to her once his wife died is a slight to Robin - especially since Ted and the mother didn't marry until long after Robin was already divorced from Barney. If Ted truly wanted to be with Robin all along, his relationship with the mother would not have progressed further to marriage and he would have gotten back together with Robin. But he never did, as long as the mother was around he was in love with her and didn't think about being with Robin. But now six years after she's passed away and after Ted realizes that he's lonely, suddenly he remembers Robin again. If we believe that Robin and Ted get back together, that means that Robin will always be second for him and she does not deserve that. Robin deserved to be someone's first choice.
Anyways this is just my opinion. Ya, you can definitely love more than one person throughout your life and I definitely believe that the mother and Robin were two of Ted's greatest loves in his life and he truly did love both, but just the way the ending was done is insulting to the mother, Robin, and especially to Ted.

IT MAKES ME SO ANGRY WHEN STUDENTS ARE NEVER PROPERLY EDUCATED ABOUT LOAN CONSOLIDATION OR INCOME BASED REPAYMENT AHHHHHHH >:( *HULK SMASH*
FUCKING AGREED. I had no idea! All I knew about was deferment but I have a job so I didn't think that was possibly, then I found IBR. And of course the student loans site is down so I can't do it online until who knows when.

neverwhyonlywho replied to your post:I haven’t needed my vertigo medication in like,...
augh :( hope you stop needing it soon!
I mean, I spent probably three years not even realizing that I had a vertigo problem to begin with, where literally every day I could feel my brain spinning behind my eyelids
and I'm fairly certain my vertigo is actually tied to proper management and medication for my depression and adhd, since the minute I went on anti-depressants and started taking the other meds regularly the vertigo pretty much stopped
but I haven't been skipping doses or anything, so it's just a little odd. nowhere near as bad as it was, and definitely manageable, just kind of strange and out of the blue. but thanks! :)
So…when the sciencey thing dings super fast, you run away, right? Jill? Confirm?
